Take memories and leave footprints - Travelogue to Munnar
On the journey I have noticed many places with evergreen tea plantations and it have captured our breath and have casted magical spells to our eyes. By around 11:00 AM we have reached Pallivasal and stoped our car to have a cup of tea and to get ourself fresh. Thus we have found a beautiful greenery and a tea shop which looks like a KSRTC bus. We took many pictures and the scenic beauty have captured our time. Even the gate way to Munnar has ability to hold us there.
The fresh glass of tea made us to travel to Marayoor which is 40 km away from Munnar. While reaching Marayoor the climate have completely changed. The weather has produced a sensation of cold which have made the Maryoor enhance her beauty. We stop the car near a tea plantation estate. I have seen different colour combinations of green and blue and it made myself to reconcile with the nature. We have took many photos from there.
After taking photos we have went to see sandalwood forest. From there we have spotted dear . Then to become fresh we stoped near a tea shop called Chaai Bazar. We have enjoyed browni, carrot cake as well as Banana Cake and it was mouthwatering taste.
Then it was about 2:00 PM we have went to have lunch in near by hotel. The food was really tasty and all the vegetables was so fresh. The sambar had contained good flavour which made the whole sadhya a lit . When ever I hear the name Munnar I was wondering how did it got that name. Munnar which also means “three rivers” refers to its location at the confluence of the Mudhirapuzha, Nallathanni and kundali rivers ; said a friendly local from Marayoor.
Vanasree is a park at Marayoor. It consists of a banyan tree which is 1600 years old. This have made my heart and mind to pop up the thought that our ancestors might have visited the place and might have stand where I am standing. Thus some type of connection have worked in between me and the tree. It have created a touch of nostalgia in my mind. We have captured many photos from there.
Then we have went to visit Eravikullam National Park at 4:00 PM and have got the last chance of tickets. We have swiftly grabbed the ticket and entered to the bus to experience something new. The bus want to travel for 15 minutes to get up to the mountain. Through the bus journey we have noticed mountains, tea plantations, birds etc. The chirping of the birds while having the journey made music to our ears more soothing and added out much aesthetic beauty to the place. One we reached the point we went to have cup of tea. The tea was not at all good. Then we started tracking. Each place was filled with beauty and we have captured photos from there. The climate was not too warm nor cold. It was apt for a good walk.
Then we have spoted Nilgiri Tahar. Eravikulam National Park protects many endangered animals and birds and is home for both flora and fauna. The park is plastic free and so clean . People are there to clean the place. After spending some time we have come back as the park was going to close. We have catch the last bus and came were our journey started.
This journey to Munnar will be still my favourite one.
